Ron Sunshine and Full Swing are one of the most talented bands on the circuit. They play lots of covers as well as their own tunes. Their CD is great. I would suggest it to anyone who likes to listen to good music.

I saw Full Swing at Atlantic Dance on January 1, 2000. Man, what a great way to start the millenium! The band was truly in full swing that night. Ron can sure play a mean harp!!! The man never lets up on his harmonica solos. This being the first time I've seen this band, I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure how many horns were in the group. On the CD, they only had a tenor sax. But, that doesn't mean much sometimes (ex: Set 'Em up Joe (They have a trumpet and a tenor sax. On the CD they only had a tenor.)) It turned out, they only had a sax. That wasn't a problem because it turned out, with the sax and harmonica playin' together, it gave them one of the most unique sounds out there.

Ron also has a band called Smoking Section. Their music ranges from funk to rockin' soul to rhythm and blues; a little Memphis, and a little New Orleans. It sure is a change from Full Swing, but nevertheless it is a phenominal group!

Ron's playin' his harp.

Eddie's played with Louis Armstrong, Gene Krupa, and many other greats.
